| The mission of the Special Services Consortium is to provide services to the school children in Navajo and Apache Counties. The "Consortium", which now numbers approximately 26 districts, was formed in 1988 for this purpose. The large majority of SSC employees are related service providers (SLP, OT, PT). Any and all service providers may provide services to schools in Navajo and Apache Counties. These services may consist of: a) evaluation; b) 50/50 evaluation/direct service; and c) direct service. The students with special needs we serve have disability categories that range from Speech-Language Impaired to Multiple Disabilities. Their ages range from preschool to 22 years old. However, the majority of our students have been preschool through 8th grade. |
